The Green Business Engagement National Network (GBENN) held its second national Summit of green business programs on October 19-20th, 2016 hosted by GBENN and at the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis, MO. greenUP! acted as the fiscal sponsor for this event. There were 30 green business programs from the USA and Canada who attended this event.
The Green Business Engagement National Network (GBENN) was formed out of discussions that occurred the first National Summit on Green Business Engagement Programs, which drew over forty leaders from across the United States to Boston on May 9 and 10, 2013. This Summit provided a forum for leaders to share achievements, discuss challenges, and exchange best practices for engaging the business community, partnering with local governments, collaborating with utility districts, and delivering program services. The summit was highly successful in identifying the critical factors for green business programs to support economically vibrant and sustainable cities, as well as identify a common interest in providing further opportunities to connect and collaborate.
greenUP! will support the GBENN Summit 2017. A venue and date have not yet been determined.
