Sierra Jickling has joined greenUP! as the Green Dining District intern. She joined in January 2020 after graduating in 2019 from the University of Nevada, Reno with degrees in Environmental Science and Psychology.
While in college, she served for one year as the Director of Sustainability for the Associated Students of the University of Nevada (ASUN), and pursued projects related to composting, plastic waste reduction, and fossil fuel finance abatement. She is most proud of introducing a fee-free public transportation pilot program, which began serving university students and faculty in 2019. She has been an advocate of sustainability and greener living for as long as she can remember, and has experience working as an activist, volunteer, and employee with a variety of environmental movers and shakers during her time growing up in Reno. She is excited to embark upon even more sustainability projects with greenUP!
In her free time, Sierra likes to explore outside or test out new hobbies. Her current interests include bread baking, botany, and pottery.
