This week we are looking at the global impact of plastic! The three challenges for this week focus around sharing news, articles and videos relating to plastic and the current situation in the world. Green Dining Banner Promotion – July 26 – August 1

As part of its Plastic Free July campaign, greenUP! is offering a $1-off discount at participating green dining district restaurants for community members that join the Clean Plate Club. This is part of greenUP!’s Week 2 Challenge where people were asked to find ways to help out in their community.  Plastic Free July is an international awareness month focused on the environmental and health impacts of plastic pollution. greenUP! is sharing Plastic-Free challenges each week of the month of July and they invite the Carson City community to join them.

For a one-week community benefit campaign, which runs from July 26h  through August 125, community members are encouraged to bring their appetites to Green Dining District restaurants and join the “Clean Plate Club.” Those who sign up during the banner promotion will receive a $1-off thank you from green dining restaurants. Participating restaurants include Arby’s, Cucina Lupo, Scoups Ice Cream & Soup Bar, So Juicy, and The Union.

greenUP! Hosts Metal Manufacturer & Finisher’s Training – July 14 – October 6

greenUP!, announces a FREE training for metal manufacturers and finishers. The training is VIRTUAL on seven Wednesdays beginning on July 14 and ending on October 6th.

The training will address the many challenges that Metal Manufacturers and Finishers face in today’s marketplace including managing hazardous materials, compliance with environmental inspections and regulations and marketplace competitiveness. Because it is virtual, we are offering the training to manufacturers in any states that have active P2 programs running that can provide technical assistance to these manufacturers in their state.
