With the closure of nonessential business and other proactive COVID19 measures, businesses have had to come up with creative ways to stay afloat. Many restaurants shifted their focus from in-house dining to more takeout options. While these to-go programs allowed customers to enjoy local foods from the comfort and safety of their own home, the packaging waste of all these take away meals added up.
Restaurants were hit hard by COVID-19 and there’s a lot that the public can do to support them. They can order pickup, they can purchase gift cards and they can plan to frequent the restaurants now that COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
