Join Clean Plate Club for Free Stainless Steel Straw Set

Category : Uncategorized

For one-week while the green dining district street banner is flying, March 8th  through March 14th, community members are encouraged to bring their appetites to Green Dining District restaurants and join the “Clean Plate Club.”

Those who sign up during the banner promotion will receive a reusable stainless steel straw set as a thank you from green dining restaurants – while supplies last. Participating restaurants include Cucina Lupo, Scoups Ice Cream & Soup Bar, So Juicy, The Union, and Squeeze In.

Customers go to participating restaurants and show their server the text message confirmation that they have joined to receive a straw. Tell your friends about this special offer!

“The Clean Plate Club” membership program was designed to get customers involved in the conversation of reducing waste. Customers who sign up for the program pledge to be mindful of their waste and will receive news regarding opportunities to get involved with the Green Dining District’s local efforts on this issue.

Look to see the Green Dining District banner spanning Carson Street in the heart of the Green Dining District, between W. Spear and Telegraph Streets and know that a green dining district campaign is in session. Click here for more on our street banner program.

Support Your Green Dining District Restaurants

Category : Uncategorized

Due to COVID-19 measures, restaurants have shifted their focus from in-house dining services to offer more takeout options. While these to-go programs allow customers to enjoy local foods from the comfort and safety of their own home, the packaging waste of these take away meals has been adding up. We encourage customers to refuse plastic-ware when ordering pickup and look for alternatives to Styrofoam packaging.

We ask that the community continues to support restaurants that are operating at only partial capacity. See video from greenUP! on the value of the green dining district to our community and ways to support restaurants during COVID:
